Looking for a passionate and highly motivated individual to take a prominent role in the implementation and embedding of the National Standards.
**Job location**
Forensicare is the statutory agency responsible for the provision of adult forensic mental health services across Victoria.
Forensicare is situated across five sites across Victoria with its largest site being Thomas Embling Hospital, located in Fairfield?just 15 minutes north of the Melbourne city centre. Thomas Embling Hospital is a 136-bed secure hospital providing acute care, rehabilitation and continuing care programs. It includes a dedicated women’s unit.
**About the Role**:
This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and facilitating best practice systems and processes to meet the requirements of the National Safety and Quality Health Service standards
**Duties**:
- Provide expert advice to National Standards and other Governance Committees on the requirements under the standards
- Oversee and ensure the structures and processes are in place to monitor compliance with the NSQHSS
- Work collaboratively with National Standards Leads to identify performance against the standards, identifying any gaps and actions required, and ensuring that robust processes are in place to continually improve performance
- Promote quality and safety systems that will assist Forensicare to meet and exceed performance against the NSQHSS and ensure organisational readiness for accreditation at any time
**About You**:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, health services management or other relevant qualification(s)
- Detailed and comprehensive understanding of the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards
- Skills and experience in implementing accreditation standards in health care
- Demonstrated expertise in audit management systems including experience in designing audit tools, undertaking audits and coordinating audit results
- Significant experience in using a variety of improvement tools and methods
