**The Opportunity**

Reporting directly to the** General Manager - Community Finance BP, **this role will partner with State Managers and Group Community Managers, and act as a trusted advisor to drive Regional Community performance by providing financial analysis to add value in decision making and real time support.

The role will also provide support to the other Financial divisions as required, and be a role model and develop strong relationships with Resident Committees and residents.

**You will**
- Responsible for partnering with the State Managers and Group Community Managers to deliver Regional Community performance to plan
- Provide business forecasting and financial modelling to support business plan delivery and strategic initiatives
- Lead the budget process for the group of villages which the Business Partner supports at year end
- Review and support compilation of the Year End financial statements
- Presentation of periodic reporting of business performance to senior management and village committees as appropriate
- Provide stakeholder management support to the Financial Operations team, acting as a conduit between the business and the finance team
- Assist with training and professional growth of staff to develop their full potential consistent with the business' needs and ensuring their career growth
- Foster a work culture that accommodates change, a growth mindset and expansion opportunities
- Partner with the business by creating and presenting relevant financial analysis to support commercial decision making and negotiations and identify opportunities to improve performance
- Provide commercial decision support to the Operations teams as needed
- Actively identify and support opportunities for finance and operational process improvement across the village and corporate operations areas

**What you'll bring**
- Demonstrated experience in finance roles with a minimum of 7 years' experience
- Demonstrated ability to influence decision making across a wide range of stakeholders
- Analytical mindset, able to interpret financial insights rapidly and leverage this to influence a wide range of stakeholders
- Strong understanding of retirement village legislation, business strategy and key value drivers
- Strong business acumen and commercial awareness
- Capable at generating data-driven insights and deploying dashboard reporting
- Ability to build strong business relationships and quickly gain trust
- Superior communication skills, ability to communicate message, understand audience and deliver information in a clear manner
- Ability to influence others who may not report to them and work in a collaborative manner
- Professional Accounting qualifications (CPA/CA) (preferred)
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Finance or relevant field
