We offer a range of services including Harm Reduction and Primary Health Services as well as a range of treatment types (including residential treatment centres, community-based support programs, counselling and withdrawal management services). - The Bridge Alcohol and Other Drug recovery Program operates within the Tasmanian Division of The Salvation Army Southern Territory (TSA).- As the After Hours Support Worker you wilprovide after hours support for residents of the Bridge Program and support a team of case workers by ensuring residents comply with policy and procedures of the program after hours.- The role you could play- Maintain the centre to a high level of cleanliness and tidiness, this includes client rooms and common areas
- Provide clients accessing the service with a welcoming and responsive initial contact and ensure urgent and immediate needs are addressed
- Take appropriate preventative action in relation to potential high risk situations
- Provide assistance to assess client issues, needs and circumstances and develop strategies to address needs
- Establish effective relationships with clients that encourage self-determination and participation and support them to improve their situation
- Provide support to clients to implement case plans in accordance with TSA case management models and standards of practice
- Assist clients to access support services and establish community supports- What you will bring- Certificate IV level qualification in relevant field e.g. AOD or Mental Health or related field and relevant experienc
- Ability to understand and respond to the needs of individuals experiencing AOD issues
- A current and valid First Aid Certificate
- A current Tasmanian Drivers licence
- A current Working with Vulnerable Persons Check
- A willingness to undergo a National Police Check
