**Mature Female Disability Support Worker/s**

I am a young 61 years I am seeking Female, English Speaking Support Workers of similar vintage as me or has Emotional Intelligence. We have a small team of Enrolled Nurses Allied Health professionals’ team. Over the past 25 years Belinda has developed her own unique training/onboarding program for staff which Physiotherapy, and Occupational therapy have developed the manual handling program for me, as I have a rare form of Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy.

I am confined to an electric wheelchair, and requires assistance in my physical care, working alongside our team members to enrich my life as I work in my own NDIS business, have a therapy dog, and a homebased office. I love cooking, gardening, my home, ironed clothes, going to the markets, doing art projects, coffee by the water, and clothes shopping, having a laugh, going swimming and keeping fit.

**KEY ROLE REQUIREMENTS - Key** components of this position include (but are not limited to):
**1. Provide personal care services to Female in wheelchair.**
- Assist Belinda to meet her daily living needs, including assist with showering, dressing, toileting, accompanying her to physio, swimming and other health related programs

**2. Domestic duties/housekeeping**
- Attend to all household cleaning and ironing
- Cooking of meals
- Shopping for household items

**3. Special Challenges**
- Shiftwork, PTSD and Anxiety, chauffeuring me around in my vehicle, having commonsense, and sense of humor, being a clean freak or loving cooking the olde fashion way.

**QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED**
- **Experienced female** working as a care worker to disabled persons or work in the hospitality industry would be an advantage. If not, a willingness to learn in this area and to learn skills quickly and efficiently is required
- Any formal health care training Cert III Individual support
- Mature work ethic - female only workers as I have PTSD
- High level privacy and confidentiality
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent written communication and reporting skills.
- Must have initiative, team work.
- Current driver’s license (and own reliable transport), and willingness to learn how to drive a wheelchair accessible vehicle
- Current first aid
- Ability to work in a flexible work environment
- Able to cook and clean

**Shifts Available**

10am to 3,30pm Monday, Thursday & Friday

10am - 3.30pm Saturday Sunday (alternating)

3.30 - 7.30pm Mon, Tues, Wed, Sat, (must love cooking).

Weekly Pays

**Job Types**: Fixed term, Casual
Contract length: 8 months

Pay: $31.46 - $65.57 per hour
