About the opportunity

Werribee Mercy Hospital is a Public Hospital located in the rapidly growing western suburbs of Melbourne. We currently have a career opportunity for a qualified and experienced Patient Services Assistant to join the Food & Environmental Department management team.- Based at Werribee Mercy Hospital- Full time position, 40 hours a week with the ability to cover dayshift and afternoon shifts.- Monday to Friday.- Job satisfaction in a busy and fast-paced work environment.

- Excellent time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.- A Certificate 3 Health Services, or equivalent, or working towards.- The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.- Proven ability to supervise and train staff to achieve appropriate standards.- Excellent customer service skill and attention to detail.- Commitment to staff development.- A commitment to policies & procedures in order to maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff and members of the public.- Demonstrated ability to show initiative and work within a team environment.- Experience within a Hospital a must, Hotel or cleaning sector desirable.- Proven ability to supervise and train staff.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
- A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.- Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
