**The Role**
As the Assistant Director - TMO you will:

- Manage complex behavioural change programs and projects, where changes involving multiple stakeholders as well as impacted groups across the organisation.
- Actively consult and engage with executive sponsors and Division leaders to identify and mitigate potential people risks for change.
- Provide strategic change advice to DSTG Leaders to achieve transformation management goals.
- Engage with stakeholders to communicate with influence and negotiate effectively.
- Identify and implement targeted communications for internal (DSTG) and external (Defence) audiences to achieve agreed transformation outcomes.
- Lead and manage the day to day functions of the TMO team.

**About our Team**
The SSPE Division and the Transformation Management Office team are geographically dispersed across Edinburgh (SA), Fishermans Bend (Vic) and Fairbairn (ACT).

The TMO was established to facilitate the implementation of initiatives and work packages, whilst mitigating risks, managing issues, governing transition, monitoring and tracking progress, and taking a lead role on change management and communications.

The TMO will also act as a bridge between strategy and operations. It will report and escalate risks to the TMO lead, and DSTG leadership team.

You are able to communicate clearly with the Divisional Executive team, senior Defence personnel and stakeholders.

You will have knowledge of or experience with change management principles and methodologies and Benefits management principles and methodologies.

You will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills along with exceptional stakeholder management and client relationship skills.
