The Information Management (IM) Program is seeking two Content Editors to join the SharePoint to Cloud project team. As a Content Editor, you will primarily be responsible for migrating and adapting content from legacy intranet and SharePoint sites to our modern enterprise Intranet and SharePoint Online platform. Additionally, you will collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and guide content creation while ensuring it meets the new style, tone, accuracy standards, and fits within the new Information Architecture (IA).
Key Responsibilities:
- Migrate content from the departments current intranet/SharePoint to a new platform.
- Review, edit, and adapt existing content to the new platform, ensuring it meets new style, tone, and accuracy standards and fits within the new IA.
- Collaborate with content creators, SMEs, and IT professionals to coordinate content creation.
- Provide input and assistance in creating and updating the SP Online migration plan and Teamsite migration dates.
- Control and provide assistance to the business on the old to new mapping based on the SP Online new architecture design, document the final mapping and obtain sign-off.
- Engage and provide direction to business on SP On-Premise content clean-up tasks to ensure that each Teamsite/Business Unit meets the agreed schedule run dates.
- Lead and manage user acceptance testing of migrated content across website and intranets.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum of 5 years working in a similar capacity.
- Previous experience with SharePoint content management systems.
- Experience in writing and editing for the web, particularly on intranets, SharePoint, and MS Teams, with attention to detail, within a large and complex organization.
- Experience with content migration from legacy intranets/SharePoint to modern enterprise Intranet and SharePoint platforms.
- Ability to work with content owners to create content for new pages to meet the future state modern enterprise Intranet and SharePoint platform.
- Understanding of best practice for digital content, particularly with reference to plain English and accessibility (WCAG2.1).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience developing and delivering intranet content that meets best practice plain English, accessibility, editorial, and brand standards.
- Understanding of information architectures (IA) and site structures to support the migration.
- Demonstrated experience leading content migration projects in an agile framework.
- Ability to support training content authors on the future state modern enterprise Intranet and SharePoint platform.
