Digital Metro North (DMN) works collaboratively with Metro North Health (MNH) clinical leads and end users to deliver the digital transformation strategy for Metro North Health. It will ultimately create an integrated digital hospital and healthcare environment across Metro North. In meeting this strategy significant capital works are being undertaken over the next five years that includes hospital construction/refurbishment and the implementation of ieMR Advanced solution across Metro North. Delivering this will require a dedicated team, with the capacity to work across initiatives and domains, with the knowledge, determination, skills and experience to deliver.
About the role
Reporting to the Manager, Technical Applications Management, you will provide customer focused, high level specialist technical expertise in the maintenance and support of clinical systems including clinical imaging systems and the Metro North vendor neutral archiving platform, ensuring that Digital Metro North services meet the needs of Metro North Health (MNH). Additionally, this role receives technical direction from the Principal Technical Advisor, Clinical Systems.
Key knowledge and experience
**The ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate the following**:

- Ability to provide a high level of technical expertise and skills to manage the end to end delivery of clinical systems, including an understanding of clinical image and information systems, Picture Archive and Communication systems (PACS), and archiving
- Provision of expert support, guidance and coordination to relevant support bodies ensuring successful:

- Device and systems integration (including Digital Imaging devices & other clinical devices),
- Applications and updates deployment, including regression testing and identification of defects for resolution.
- Server virtualisation
- load balancing
- Active Directory, DNS & DHCP
- PKI Certificates
- HL7 & DICOM (or similar)
