**Head of Technology, Consumer Solutions - Sydney Office - Permanent Full Time**

**What you'll be doing...**

***At Consumer Solutions in Domain Group, we are here to inspire, inform and empower Australians to take the next step on their property journey. Domain Home Loans (DHL) is the key product within Consumer Solutions that is going through a hyper growth phase and we have just started. As Head of Technology - Consumer Solutions, you’ll play a key role as a senior technology leader to make it happen.

Reporting to the CTO of Domain Group, you will be a part of the business unit leadership team. You will be accountable for building and leading high performing teams of software and quality engineers, who are focused on delivering, enhancing and optimising our products for our customers. Armed with technical knowledge and experience, you will ensure the teams are building sound, fit-for-purpose solutions which aligns to the overall technology strategy of the group.

You will also work closely with different stakeholders, including external partners, product, commercial, marketing, and other internal technology teams to influence business direction; ensuring we’re focused on solving the right problems and incorporating the enabling technical items into the roadmap.

**A day in the life**
- ** **Be an effective business partner for internal and external stakeholders and establish the optimal ways of working
- Work alongside BU leadership peers to help define business roadmaps and priorities. Ensuring key technical complexities are considered and we are producing excellent technical solutions
- Set up an aspirational, yet achievable technology strategy and vision to support the BU strategy, and execute
- Hire and lead engaged, aligned, and customer-focused engineering teams and continuously improve the way the teams execute and deliver the business outcomes
- Support, manage and coach engineering leaders in the organisation and other individuals within the broader team
- Manage costs and work towards a ‘better with less’ mindset to support efficiency
- Be accountable for the delivery, security, and operations of your products and use metrics to identify and drive continuous improvement
- Contribute to the broader Domain Group technology strategy

**We'd love you to have...**
- High business acumen with successful track record in managing senior stakeholders and external partners
- Experience in building, developing and leading multiple high performing digital software development teams, being the senior leader of leaders
- Solid knowledge of modern software development approaches and solutions
- Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Works well with ambiguity, can focus themselves and their team and move forward
- Ability to recruit and experience nurturing engineers and leaders
- Has worked in an agile environment and instigated process change
- A highly collaborative, proactive and can-do attitude
