**About the role & client**

An exciting role with a global FMCG organisation currently exists in order to fill a key role in their team. This Commercial Analyst position will help drive commercial excellence across the group through the analysis of key data to help improve business performance. Initially this will be a long-term contractual assignment, however there is the view for extension and/or permanency.

**The responsibilities**

Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, you will be responsible for providing commercial expertise to the business with a focus on strategic planning, analysis and business partnering. More specifically, your role will include:

- Creation and maintenance of templates/models for the budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning processes
- Creation of presentation decks for key budgeting, forecasting and planning processes
- Creation of regular reports for key stakeholders for use in the monitoring of business results and decision-making support
- Business Partner with the Marketing team and country head to support with planning and management through the year.
- Work closely with the country head on development and management of the structure costs budget/forecast.
- Work with key functions of Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain to assess viability of new products and ensure they meet target margin requirements
- Work with the sales team and provide financial insight and P&L impact of different pricing options
- Financial modelling support with any M&A opportunities that might arise in Australia or NZ markets.
- Assist in the business case preparation for any ongoing projects
- Support the team with any other requirements.

**The successful applicant**

Ideally, you will be a CA/CPA qualified accounting professional and a commercially astute individual. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as your ability to interact and engage cross functionally within the business will be crucial to your success. Additionally, you will have a proven track record of business partnering and have the ability to effectively communicate financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
