Front of House Team Member
Baker Bleu is seeking to hire talented and dedicated front of house team members.

We are suppliers to other high-profile restaurants such as, Cumulus Inc, Gimlet, Cutler & Co., Rockpool, Di Stasio Citta & Carlton Wine Room. We have an excellent reputation in our local communities and work with well-known charity groups in Melbourne.

About the role:
The position of Front of House Team Member requires clear communication between fellow front of house team members, Team Leader and Store Manager. This role is vital in ensuring that customers receive a welcoming and enjoyable experience while purchasing at any Baker Bleu location. The reputation of service and delivery of quality product is of upmost importance, and we want to make all members of the community feel welcome and appreciated. A successful employee will be a team player with a keen interest in sourdough bread and pastry and a genuine passion for customer service.
- Previous experience working within a retail, food retail or hospitality environment.
- Previous volunteer or work experience in any capacity.Certificate/ qualifications from recognised training institution.
- An attitude to learn and strong work ethic.

The following responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Serve customers with patience, understanding and a willingness to help in purchase decisionsEnsure bread shelves are full and product is consolidated and merchandised as the day progresses
- Thorough understanding of the Baker Bleu product range and the ability to communicate specials, bread varietals and the Baker Bleu production process with customers
- A thorough understanding of the Baker Bleu product Bible to assist in confidently answering questions and selling of grocery items and merchandise
- Maintaining a clean and organised shop front, ensuring grocery shelving and merchandise is dusted, rotated, and restockedOnce bread is sold out or day is completed, assist in the pack down, sweeping and mopping of shop and restocking for next day’s service.
