**About the Company**

Davidson Technology are currently supporting a Federal Government Agency to secure an experienced Configuration Manager on an initial 6-month contract with the option for further extensions.

**About the Role**

As the Configuration Manager, you will collaborate closely with the ITSM team on a greenfield project, focusing on implementing enterprise-level CSDM and CMDB objectives. Responsibilities include managing relationships between IT assets, updating the Configuration Management Plan and Business Services Mapping, and developing Configuration Management policies, processes, and procedures. You will oversee audits of the CMDB for accuracy, champion Configuration Management standards, and ensure daily delivery of Configuration Management services. Additionally, you'll manage day-to-day process activities, track compliance to policies, and resolve any compliance issues. Engaging with strategic projects, you'll ensure Configuration Management can meet CMS functionality requirements within project timeframes, review and approve all changes to the CMS infrastructure, and mentor the organization on Configuration Management services and concepts. Finally, you'll provide and approve all requirements for new CMS functionality, review and approve requests for administrator access to CMS infrastructure and publish configuration management reporting.

**About You**

To be successful in this role you will possess extensive expertise in the Configuration Management lifecycle stages and related ITIL processes, backed by ITIL4 Practitioner qualifications. With a robust understanding of CMDB and IT Service Management, as well as experience across all stages of the software development cycle, including previous roles in fast-paced digital solutions-based organisations, you’ll bring a wealth of knowledge to the table. Highly skilled in ServiceNow CMDB and adept at utilising tools like MS Office Suite, MS Project, JIRA, and Collaborate, you will also excel in stakeholder management, problem-solving, and communication.

You will be required to undertake a criminal history check and must be an Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain baseline security clearance.

**The Benefits**

You will be offered an excellent daily rate on an initial 6-month contract with the potential of a further two 6-month extensions. Once your initial first month is complete, flexible working arrangements can be discussed to suite your personal, project, and business requirements.
