The Opportunity
Boeing Defence Australia is seeking a talented Configuration Management Specialist to support a world class airborne surveillance, communications and battle management system, the E-7A Wedgetail. This role can be based in Brisbane, Williamtown, or Amberley.
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage and maintain the programs product definition and design data, technical baselines, engineering changes, and current approved configuration in the configuration status accounting tool/s.
- Perform lifecycle management of engineering changes including participation in the Change Control Boards and acting as release authority for design data.
- Prepare and participate in product technical design reviews and audits as required.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of configuration and data management standards, processes, systems and tools.
- Assist to Implement and maintain the controls necessary for data to meet security, trade control and intellectual property requirements.
- Effectively interface with project team members and our customers to support the operation of the platform.
- Support mentoring and training on the programs configuration management systems.
Experience/Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within a related industry;
- Formal Configuration Management training / certification is desired;
- Knowledge and understanding of industry configuration management standards such as: ANSI/EIA-649, EIA-HD-649, MIL-HDBK-61, EIA-649_1 and EIA-836; and
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.
