**About the Company**
Our large NSW State Government client drives integration and efficiency across long term planning, precincts, housing, property, infrastructure, open space, environment, natural resources including land, water, mining, energy and growing our industries.

**About the Role**
They are currently seeking a highly professional Manager, Energy Policy & Strategy to join their growing team in Parramatta with some flexibility to work remotely from home. This an estimated 9month temporary assignment, with a potential to extend.

As the Manager, Energy Policy & Strategy you will be required to provide policy advice on energy matters whilst leading the team in development, delivery and implementation of a portfolio of energy policy initiatives and reforms that support organisational objectives and Government commitments

In this rewarding role, you will be undertaking the following duties
- Lead, manage and mentor a team of 6 in meeting policy commitments
- Provide policy advice and pragmatic solutions
- Critical analysis to requests form the Minister’s Office and Senior Executives
- Conduct research, gather and collate information to support informed decision-making outcomes
- Develop and implement innovative policies to support reliable, affordable and sustainable energy sector
- Incorporate technical and operational input into legislative and policy outcomes
- Analyse and review Cabinet submissions, policy and legislation for their impact on competition and consumers
- Provide expertise to stakeholders supporting policy directions
- Track, monitor and report on policy initiative performance, identifying risks, trends and issues
- Preparation of high-level documentation including Ministerial briefings and correspondence, reports and submissions
- Facilitate consultation and stakeholder engagement on policy issues to collaborate and develop solutions
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, mitigating risk
- Ensure compliance with best practice and legislative requirements

**About You**
To be successful in this great assignment you will have the following
- Demonstrated Leadership or Managerial experience
- Extensive policy research or regulatory environment experience
- Public Sector or Climate Change, Sustainability, Energy or Utilities experience advantageous
- Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
- Exposure to working within an extremely political environment
- Solid analytical, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
- High attention to detail
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office suite
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
- Fully COVID vaccinated or medically exempt
- Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
