We currently have an opportunity for an Associate Director to join our Business and Private Banking Performance Insights team within Finance. You will produce and provide commercial financial insight, analysis, and recommendations to drive and improve Business performance, including performance & planning, forecasting and financial reporting/control.

Using your deep understanding of the business, its drivers, and opportunities for growth, you will work with Heads of Finance/ Finance Partners to Identify, analyse, and interpret issues, trends, and growth opportunities to present logical conclusions and insights to the business for decision making.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Lead the production and delivery of high quality and timely analysis to develop commercial, actionable insights and recommendations, collaborating with key business stakeholders and Heads of Finance/ Finance Partners to tell a story that drives decision making.
- Understanding business needs, benefits and problems and opportunities and determining how this information should be presented using visualisation methods to effectively convey findings, learnings, insights, and recommendations to the target audience.
- Lead the design and build of the required metrics and dashboard based on business requirements and proposed solution. Use creativity to transform data into a story by developing intuitive data visualisation dashboards and interfaces that drive real actionable insights and business value.
- Lead the delivery of monthly, half yearly and annual reporting requirements (including external peer analysis) for B&PB division, acting as the key interface between the CFO team, Group Finance and Investor Relations,
- Create a challenging, but aspirational plan that is efficiently cascaded to each business and aligns with our strategic ambition.
- Collaborate to ensure simplification by ensuring all standard reporting, forecasting, planning and financial control activities are delivered in a one-way same way approach across Finance.
- Keep abreast of external best practice, innovation, and financial management approaches.
- Collaborate with peers to identify and leverage best practice to drive effectiveness uplift across the Finance team.

**To be successful in the role you will have**:

- Profound experience in Finance/Financial Services.
- In-depth understanding of Finance Processes and key systems (including HFM, SAP).
- High level of communication skills, proven problem-solving skills, time management skills, conflict resolution, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Experience across a range of Finance disciplines including partnering with divisions, corporate centre planning and reporting and financial control roles.
- Tertiary qualification in Finance/Financial Services, Ideally CA/CPA qualified.
- Experience within audit or risk management experience (financial reporting function).
- Experience using sophisticated arithmetic processes for numeric analysis and evaluating outcomes.
- Ability to synthetise information from a variety of sources, and extract and present relevant concepts/themes to ensure business relevance and organisational impact.
