Adviser Courts Administration

To provide administration and sentence information to offenders and staff and assist in the coordination of all sentence information requirements relevant to the functioning of the courts. The position also provides administrative and clerical support to the areas of rosters, human resources, finance and other administrative requirements.
**In this role you will**:
- Provide information to prisoners on court verdicts, warrants, and/or other relevant court documentation and processes
- Coordinate and administer prisoner induction and consult with prisoners on areas of concern
- Provide information to prisoners on their sentence
- Provide relevant sentence management information to staff within the Branch as required
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of prisoner details entered and recorded in the Integrated Offender Management System (IOMS)
- Coordinate and administer prisoner court documentation in accordance with legislative and procedural requirements
- Provide advice and support to prisoners relating to the court documentation and administration
- Ensure correct documentation is completed accurately in compliance with Agency procedures and court requirements including the use of designated templates
- Maintain a high level of knowledge relating to the court administration processes and practices
- Assist with the development of rosters to meet operational needs and ensure rosters are compliant with relevant industrial instruments including Awards and Agreements
- Consult with relevant Branch managers to ensure rosters are meeting their requirements
- Reconcile staff timesheets against designated rosters and ensure staff payments are accurate and consistent with appropriate employment conditions
- Monitor staff leave entitlements for the Branch and assist in the management of annual leave liability
- Provide information to managers on roster costs and estimates in accordance with budget parameters
- Respond to staff enquiries pertaining to leave and roster provisions
- Provide human resource advice to staff and managers relating to leave, rosters and general HR policy and procedure
- Maintain an appropriate filing system for the Branch to ensure they are compliant with Privacy and Record Management legislation
- Assist with the high level administrative support for the Branch including senior managers
- Liaise with other Directorates across QCS and external stakeholders on general administrative functions and activities including finance, human resources and prisoner management and security functions
- Maintain a high level of knowledge relating to Agency policies and procedures for corporate services functions
