**The role**

As the **Curator**for the NSW Hall of Champions,** you'll be at the heart of preserving and showcasing the rich history of sport in New South Wales as well as Sydney Olympic Park's sports venues. Your role involves creating high-quality displays and managing the collection of artefacts, ensuring safe maintenance and accessibility for public enjoyment. You'll also play a key part in the annual Hall of Champions Induction Ceremony, celebrating the achievements of sporting legends.

Balancing the needs of various stakeholders and safeguarding the integrity of the collection are some of the challenges you'll face. Your ability to communicate effectively and manage resources within budget and time constraints will be crucial in maintaining the value and security of these historical assets.

**What you will bring to the role**
- Previous experience in a similar role and demonstrated experience producing high quality exhibitions to museum standards
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey ideas and collaborate with team members.
- Excellent research and writing skills, and attention to detail relevant to the presentation of exhibitions and accurate biographical information of athletes
- Solid time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills, fostering strong relationships and ensuring alignment with diverse stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
- Enjoys autonomy and demonstrates proficiency in working independently, taking initiative, and making decisions.
- A solid understanding of Collection Management for Museums

**What is an essential requirement**:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience in Museum, Cultural and Caring for and maintaining historical collections
- Driver’s licence
- A Working with Children Check is an essential requirement for this role. The role has been identified as requiring a check in keeping with the Child Protection (Working With Children) Act 2012
- Willingness to work across various sites within the Park
