Our Brentwood Aged Care Home, located in Parramatta is seeking an experienced Hospitality Assistant - General Services to join their team on an On Call Casual basis.
Reporting to our General Manager, as the Hospitality Assistant - General Services, you will work across Food Services and Housekeeping. You will be responsible for delivering friendly and efficient food service, cleaning and laundry services to residents, according to Allity's Hygiene and Food Standards, ensuring all relevant internal and external regulatory service standards both are met.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide all food service activities to residents including serving meals, and dining room set-up and clearing
- Food Handling, Food Safety and other specified qualifications are current
- Undertake basic food preparation under direction of senior staff
- Food preparation is completed within the designated timeframe and according to the FSP,
- Ensure all resident rooms and public areas are maintained in a freshly cleaned condition
- Cleaning meets Allity presentation standards
- All concerns are raised immediately to ensure optimum resident wellbeing
- Report any concerns about the cleanliness of the Facility to the Facility Manage
- Assist with bed making as required
- Assist with laundry duties as required
**About You**
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Sound hospitality experience - food service, housekeeping and laundry
- Sound food preparation experience (preferably in an Aged Care environment)
- Highly organised and able to effectively manage and prioritise multiple tasks
- Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times
- Highly motivated and able to take initiative
- Excellent communication style - able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff
- Team player, ability to the extra mile
- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment at all times
- Follow Basic Food Safety Practices certificate - HLTFS7A (Essential)
- Food Handler (HLTFS207C)
- COVID and Booster Certificate (mandatory)
