About Sunshine Systems Alliance

Melbourne Airport Rail is a transformational public transport project connecting Melbourne Airport to Victoria’s regional and metropolitan train network. The Sunshine Systems Alliance (SSA) which involves John Holland, CPB Contractors, AECOM, KBR, Alstom, Metro Trains Melbourne, V/Line and Rail Projects Victoria will deliver one of the project’s largest works packages. The SSA will help transform Sunshine station into a transport superhub and will construct a new flyover at Albion to separate airport trains from metropolitan and regional services. The package also includes high-capacity signalling, traction power, rail control systems and an automatic train supervision system, as well as communications systems and systems integration and assurance.

KBR and AECOM have joined forces as part of the Sunshine Systems Alliance to the deliver design of the Sunshine Systems Alliance as part of the Melbourne Airport Rail project and as such we are currently recruiting for an experienced Package Lead, Civil to join us on the journey.

About the opportunity

AECOM are looking for enthusiastic and delivery focused individuals to help deliver the project and keep Victoria moving. During this exciting growth period we have several opportunities to join our award-winning Design team on the Alliance. Whilst you will initially be working on Melbourne Airport Rail this is a permanent opportunity with AECOM which opens the door to a world of opportunities on major projects nationally.

**Some of the things you will be doing**:
+ Delivering work package(s) on time and to programme for the Ballarat Service Road West and Ballarat Service Road East packages

+ Working closely with design modellers and drafters to deliver documentation to the expected standard and requirements

+ Acting as a supporting engineer to the Ballarat Service Road West and Ballarat Service Road East packages.

+ Liaising with the SSA Engineering Team to ensure alignment between design and construction requirements

+ Present, articulate design and facilitate external workshops with Stakeholders including Stakeholder Engagement Workshop(s) and Safety in Design (SiD) workshop, Comment Closeout sessions

+ Review and satisfactorily respond to all stakeholder comments in a timely manner.

**Qualifications**:
**You will bring**:
+ Demonstrated recent experience working with consultants, contractors, and government agencies in designing or delivering major infrastructure projects.

+ Strong technical design ability specifically transport infrastructure design and some experience in using CAD software.

+ Experience in working in multidisciplinary teams and to working towards set deadlines.

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

+ An appetite for fast-paced major projects, and the ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.

+ Strong client focus, high level of motivation and dedication and the ability work well in a team environment.

+ Relevant tertiary qualification.

+ RPEV/CPEng (or working towards).
