**The Opportunity**
As our Service Technician, you are responsible for assessing customer issues, attending to repairs, and maintenance of products after delivery. You are technically minded, hands on and will travel to customers' homes to perform, inspect, repair and evaluate customer service issues including the restoration process of assembled furniture.
All scheduling will be completed by the support office team and you pride yourself on keeping our customers updated every step of the way, whilst working closely with all departments to organise spare parts and update despatch and customer service as required, to get the job done.
**The Role**:
- Report detailed technical findings back to the Customer Service team with the outcome of service calls
- Carry out inspections ascertaining the cause of an issue and repair to the highest possible level
- Ensure all relevant information has been gathered to ensure all required work has been carried out correctly
- Take responsibility for the issue through the repair process and guarantee its quality at the end
- Ensure the customer is satisfied with the service provided
- Attain a high number of 5-star Product Reviews and high percentage of cases fixed on first call out
- Establish and build customer relationships whilst delivering exceptional customer service
- Support other Service Technician with in-home visits to assess customer service issues
- Educate the KING customer on how to better care for their King Living Furniture and improve the longevity of their furniture
- Action any customer correspondence or requests in a timely manner
- Ensure telephone enquiries are dealt with quickly and efficiently
- Report any customer complaints to your supervisor
- Promote the sales of King Care Services and goodwill of King Living
**About you**
- Must have a current full driver’s licence
- Have a background in the use of electronics (desirable but not essential)
- Background in the use of machinery and hand tools
- Experience in repairing both fabric and leather sofas welcomed
- Good with fault finding and solutions approach to troubleshooting
- Customer focused strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Self-motivated, safety focused and have a passion to learn
- A quick learner who is team orientated
- Customer centric with a strong work ethic to follow things through from start to finish with a get it done right the first-time mindset
- Well presented with a positive can-do attitude
- Proactive, reliable, punctual and have great communication skills
- Flexible to work overtime and ad hoc Saturdays as required
