Our client, located in Newcastle NSW, is an up-beat and rapidly growing company in the Motorhome industry. They are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join their team.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

This permanent fulltime role is a part of the senior operations team and is responsible for coordinating operational goals, processes, and deadlines.

The main responsibilities of the role include:

- Be a central contact, always representing the Company professionally.
- Manage and report financial outcomes.
- Provide monthly work in progress reports.
- Manage costs and expenses to achieve budgeted outcomes.
- Coordinate operational goals, processes, and deadlines.
- Research new commercial opportunities and provide recommendations to increase market share, enter new markets and enhance revenue from existing market segments.
- Review monthly reports to measure and evaluate performance to identify continual improvement opportunities and develop plans to implement.
- Control operations expenses within budget with appropriate approval processes established and deployed.
- Establish minimum quality standards and implement training and reporting mechanisms to track and intervene as required.
- Act as a technical advisor on key projects and other areas of the business as requested.
- Lead the work to ensure supply of quality products that meet and/or exceed customer expectations.
- Review operations workload to meet customer demand through effective communication.
- Demonstrate safe work behaviours through leading by example, identifying and acting on opportunities to improve safety and environmental standards and performance.
- Demonstrate risk reduction strategies by identifying and escalating risks that may cause injury. Lead site investigations of all significant safety and environmental incidents and confirm corrective actions addressing root causes are in place and completed.
- Establish effective safety training plans and programs, which are resourced, documented, and maintained.
- Provide advice and alternative solutions based on experience to establish lowest cost most appropriate solutions.
- Develop and implement inventory stock plans considering both sales demands and ongoing business cash flow.
- Establish processes to maintain ongoing market intelligence and data regarding market pricing and service offers.
- Ensure adequate regular feedback mechanisms are in place from customers back into the business, such as Google reviews.
- Review, inventory levels, staffing requirements, and other resource management capabilities.
- Ensure adherence to standard setting and quality control procedures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant and appropriate legal requirements, including health and safety regulations.
- Conduct quality control tests to ensure organisational and legal standards are achieved.
- Enhance operational procedures, systems, and principles of information flow and management, business processes, and reporting.
- Understand and implement company policies.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Qualifications in business, trade, operations, or equivalent.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience as an Operations Manager, Business Development Manager or similar role.
- Understanding of automotive, caravans or machinery sales highly regarded.
- Proven written and verbal communication skills, including advising management on complex matters.
- Knowledge of project, business, and financial management.
- Experience in both working independently and within a team.
- Strong customer and commercial focus focused.
- Computer literate with solid experience using Microsoft 365 including Outlook, Word, and Excel as well as Google Suite.
- Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with management, team members and clients.
- Ability to be proactive and to foresee events and react appropriately towards them.
- Detail-oriented and organised.
- Ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines.
- Possess good leadership ability.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation.
- Excellent coaching, mentoring and people management.
- Ability to adapt to new technology.
