The Wirltu Yarlu Aboriginal Education Branch is responsible for leading the University of Adelaide’s strategic and operational commitments to enhancing the participation and success of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in higher education. Wirltu Yarlu provides strategic leadership in relation to the Indigenisation of the University of Adelaide's programs, the recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledges and perspectives, the promotion of teaching and research in Indigenous studies, the strategic employment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, and engagement with Indigenous communities. Wirltu Yarlu also supports the broader University to better understand Indigenous cultures and histories through the delivery of the Indigenous Knowledges Major and the employment of Cultural Advisors.

Working under general direction of the Manager, Indigenous Strategy and Assurance, the Project Support Officer will provide high-level administrative and project coordination support to strategic projects underpinning the Mankurriapinthi Strategic Plan 2024-2025 - Future Making for First Nations and the emerging First Nations Policy.

**To be successful you will need**:

- Experience in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities, and agencies.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and communicate in a succinct, professional, and responsive manner.
- Demonstrated experience in working with a high level of flexibility and adaptability, undertaking and delivering a range of functions in an efficient and effective manner.
- Experience in organising, undertaking, and completing multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to upskill on the University’s financial, HR, and records management systems is required
- Demonstrated ability to promote the organisational values of integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence and discovery, and a commitment to positively comply with the associated behaviour expectations.
- Experience working in a project team environment and providing project support services (_desirable_)
- Knowledge of the University environment and its structure and strategic and operational plans will be highly regarded. (_desirable_)
- This position requires a valid Working with Children Check_
