**Talent International** is currently recruiting for an **Event Operations Manager** to work for a** NSW Government **based in** Sydney, NSW. **The position is a **9-month contract initially, with a potential extension for 12 months in total **and are paying between **$60 to $65 per hour + Super.**

**Start date**:Immediately

**Location**:Level 3, Town Hall House and Sydney Town Hall

**Overview of the Role**

The role is to run the operations team (3 staff) which are responsible for coordinating all of the event details and liaising with the hirer in the lead up to their event at Sydney Town Hall, Paddington Town Hall, and Barnet Long Room.

This includes overseeing invoicing, coordinating casual staff (3-4) and contractors (ushers, security, crew) to deliver the event on the day, and working with stakeholders including the caterer and security.

The role is an M4 level reporting to me with 3 direct reports and 3-4 casuals plus contractors.

**Skills and Requirements for the role**
- The ideal person will have 5 years' experience (minimum) delivering events, managing venues or leading teams that provide hospitality or customer service.
- They will have an operations background in events or hospitality.
- They need to be highly organised, detail orientated with the ability to manage shifting priorities and multiple events.
- They need to be a hands-on leader who demonstrates initiative and effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- They need to possess a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer-service.
- They need to be able to concurrently manage multiple stakeholders.
