**The role
**We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Events Manager to join our Clients and Markets team in our Sydney office. The primary objective of this role will be to lead local events for all practice groups and ensure a high level of support and coordination is provided for office and firm events including client functions. This role will see you working closely with the Partner in Charge of our Sydney office and with the broader Clients and Markets team, including Events Managers in our other offices.
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Designing, project managing and executing a broad sweep of events in our busy Sydney Office including: client and networking events; major internal events (eg AGM, whole of office Christmas party, picnic day and the annual black tie dinner); client educational seminars and conferences (in-person and online); flagship events such as our annual client conference, community and D&I events and Art Partnership launches.
- Working independently and proactively with the business and senior stakeholders in coordinating the logistics and set up associated with local events.
- Coordinating and liaising with a broad range of support teams including on-site kitchen and catering / wait staff, AV, Facilities, Reception and Front of House teams.
- Collating, entering and maintaining event requirements in the event booking software programme.
- Creating event briefs, researching venues and suppliers, sourcing and negotiating quotes, managing event budgets and event-related sponsorships.
- Collating event materials, preparing event schedules and managing event timelines.
- Utilising our BlueJeans Events and ON24 online platforms.
- Communicating relevant correspondence and event requirements to the appropriate supporting departments for processing and executing events.
- Communicating to local staff (Partner in Charge and Catering Manager) details of relevant internal and external events.
- Coordinating the broader C&M team and others to assist with on-site logistics and running of events.
- Participating in various national business development projects.
**Skills and experience**
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Completed tertiary qualifications in Event Management or Marketing.
- Minimum five years' experience in corporate events and business development within a professional services environment - corporate events experience is essential.
- Events booking software and client relationship database experience desirable.
- Strong administration, organisational and time management skills.
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Experience with online event delivery / webinars
- Flexibility with working hours.
**The Clients and Markets team**
The Clients and Markets (C&M) team is responsible for providing services and advice on client relationship management and marketing, development of tenders and other marketing materials, event management, market and industry research and analysis, media and corporate affairs, legal communications and branding and design.
