**About the Role**
As the Revenue Team Leader you will provide operational direction with the support of the Director of Patient Services and oversee the billing of all patient accounts to health funds for the Northern Beaches Hospital. This role requires a hands on approach to all areas of responsibility, with a significant supervisory component. You will lead from the front demonstrating your exceptional customer service skills. You will also have the opportunity to participate in operational plan consultation when appropriate.
This role will support and implement strategy change and review of department processes with particular focus on patient eligibility for all health funds, Public, DVA, third party insurers, worker’s compensation, self-insured persons including the collection of patient out of pockets.
To be successful in this role, you will also possess the following skills and experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working within private health care
- Previous leadership of a patient accounts team or similar
- Knowledge of patient administration admission systems
- Knowledge of health fund / DVA / third party / workers compensation contracts
- Demonstrated people leadership and supervisory skills
- Established planning and organizational skills
- Well-developed problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Self-directed and motivated with the ability to effectively plan and prioritise
- Previous experience with WebPAS
- Experience in managing/undertaking switchboard functions
- Well-developed professional communication skills (written and spoken)
