**THE OPPORTUNITY**
The Education Support Officer is supervised by the Teacher
- in-Charge or Head Teacher and works under the direction of a teacher as appropriate. The role is responsible for a range of activities which support learners and enhance the student learning experience and educative processes.
We have an exciting **temporary** **full-time opportunity for 12 months **(with the potential to be converted to permanency one year after the commencement date) within our **Career Pathways, Aboriginal Languages and Employability Skills (CPALES)** Team at our **Hornsby** campus. You will provide support to a diverse range of learners, ensuring that student outcomes are at the forefront of your decision making.

If you have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, are passionate about providing high-quality customer service, have the commitment and ability to support learning in an adult environment and are confident with a range of technologies, then this opportunity is for you.

To be successful in this role you must have the following:
1. An undergraduate degree related to English language teaching OR an undergraduate degree and a Certificate or Diploma relevant to TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) or language teaching (eg the CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults), DELTA (Diploma in English to Speakers of Other Languages) or you may have commenced the Graduate Certificate in TESOL)
2. High-level interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to explain ideas in a clear and concise manner
3. Experience working with people from a diverse range of backgrounds, and providing quality customer service as part of a broader team
4. Excellent skills in relevant information and communication technologies (eg. an LMS and the MS Office suite)
