The Centre for Community Child Health (CCCH) at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute (MCRI) is seeking a dedicated and driven Project Officer to support the delivery of exciting new and ongoing evaluation and evidence-informed action projects.
About the Role
As part of the Systems Impact (SI) team, you will contribute to innovative projects that adopt a whole-of-system, ecological approach to improving child health, development and wellbeing. Projects may focus on designing and evaluating early childhood services, community-based initiatives, and policy improvements — always with a commitment to equity and real-life impact.
**You’ll support a range of activities including**:
Participatory evaluation and action research
Human-centred design and quality improvement
Systems thinking and evidence synthesis
Expect to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders — from diverse families to service providers and policymakers.
**Your responsibilities include**:
Assist with design and delivery of evaluation and action projects
Conduct mixed methods research including focus groups, interviews, and surveys
Draft high-quality reports and summaries
Help design and facilitate project-related workshops and reflection sessions
**What we need from you**:
Tertiary qualification in relevant field e.g. Public Health, Evaluation, Psychology, Social Policy, Allied Health.
Experience in evaluation and/or research and/or other evidence-informed action methodologies including mixed methods data collection, quantitative and qualitative analysis and reporting
Confident in in project management
A proven ability to synthesise and disseminate complex information clearly and concisely
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with experience engaging and collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders
