**About Your Role**
As part of Thales Australia, our Vehicles and Tactical Systems business focuses on a range of innovative, robust and cost-effective solutions from concept through to integration and life-of-type services. Our diverse operations encompasses; Protected Vehicles, Australian Munitions, Explosive Ordinance Services and Integrated Weapons and Sensors. We look forward to you joining the team in this senior role as **Head of Procurement **for Vehicles and Tactical Systems as you play a central leadership position in supporting Procurement requirements. As someone who thinks big, you will be the ambassador of the Procurement function, leveraging your expertise and collaborating with other passionate stakeholders to make it happen as we continue our ongoing growth and success as a trusted partner to our varied customers across the world.

- Responsible for all procured aspects in the delivery and support of contracted Program requirements, supporting business requirements and align with respective Segments and Category strategies
- Playing a central role in bid activities in order to ensure the best Procurement solutions (competitiveness, quality, on time delivery) and ensuring an innovative and agile approach to business requirements
- Utilising your broad Procurement experience to ensure best practice is deployed across the organisation and adhere to set internal processes as you maintain a focus on both Quality and Continuous Improvement
- Collaborating with key stakeholders as you build and maintain trusted relationships, teaming with other passionate professionals across the organisation and within the Thales Procurement function
- Leverage your proven leadership capabilities to influence others and achieve business objectives, maintaining regular contact across our geographically dispersed operations (some site travel required)
- Actively develop others to ensure future organisational capability within the Procurement function as we continue to deliver customer focused outcomes and shape solutions from complexity
**How About You?**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications with demonstrated experience in a similar senior Procurement or Purchasing role, ideally within a similar environment industry/organisation
- Extensive Procurement experience gained at a senior level coupled with strong skills, knowledge and experience across Procurement and Bid Management processes and related best practice
- Proven leadership capabilities with a high-level interpersonal skills in influencing outcomes through people
- Commercial in your approach with the ability to demonstrate a depth of Procurement success that has directly contributed to organisational objectives
- Strong background in collaborating with varied stakeholders, with previous experience in working with cross-functional functions/teams
- Those with a working knowledge and/or background within the Defence industry or Manufacturing sector/s will be viewed favourably, as will those with relevant Postgraduate qualifications/certifications (MCIPS and related)
