**Operations Controller - a stepping stone to General Management**

**The Company**

Established over 40 years, this organisation is typically the first port of call for our international and domestic tourists. It is an iconic brand, instantly recognisable. The post Covid tourist influx has created the opportunity for this role and is now back in full swing

**The Role**

Be responsible for managing and leading the daily operations of the department, ensuring optimum customer service is delivered and having an input into the direction of the Sydney operation. This is a role which could be a steppingstone into General Management.
- Work with the Engineering Manager to ensure operations are delivering an excellent customer service experience.
- Support the Sales Teams to optimise ticket sales to visitors and tourists alike
- Ensure all safety and legislative requirements are met
- Manage the department budget and report on performance against budget
- Conduct training needs analysis and facilitate cross-training between departments
- Oversee daily operations and monitor team productivity
- Act as an escalation point for customer grievances and problem-solving

Core hours are full time Monday to Friday starting at 7.30am (you may need to step in on weekends so a flexible approach is needed)

**About You**

A highly motivated, flexible and energetic person to lead and motivate our tourism superstars
- Experience and an understanding of the tourism industry in Sydney
- Proven experience in team management and motivating teams
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Current HR License (would be great)

**Salary**: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
