**Your New Role**

You will be reporting to the Portfolio Manager, Emerging Markets and be responsible for contributing to the research, implementation and management of the FICC team’s Emerging Market Fixed Income and Currency exposures.

**Key Duties**
- Supporting the Portfolio Manager, Emerging Markets in the development of the broader FICC Emerging Markets portfolio strategy
- Conducting macroeconomic research and analysis of emerging market economies with a focus on financial market implications and relevant investment opportunities
- Supporting the management of EM exposures, including assisting with portfolio construction, risk modelling and performance measurement
- Recommending potential new EM investment strategies and/ or enhancements to EM exposures
- Contribute and assist in managing existing FICC EM strategies in line with mandated performance targets and constraints
- Preparation and presentation of research and investment recommendations to the Macro Fundamental Strategies team and other forums
- Engaging and collaborating with the broader FICC team, Capital Markets team and other asset class teams

**What You’ll Need**
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Economics, Business, Finance or a related discipline
- Relevant experience within a bank, institutional investment manager or related sectors
- Strong understanding of investment instruments and financial markets, particularly derivatives
- Strong quantitative modelling skills
- Able to synthesise and communicate complex information in a comprehensible manner
- Able to work autonomously in a small, collaborative team environment
