**About the Opportunity**

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, as Burge Barossa’s Maintenance Fitter you will be responsible for ensuring that all maintenance and fitting duties are carried out in a way which optimises quality and efficiency. You will operate with the maintenance team to ensure that the daily functions of the winery are completed in a safe and efficient manner.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Working on preventive maintenance schedules and attending breakdowns
- Drive continuous improvement activities on equipment and processes
- Diagnose, fault find and repair equipment
- Help redirect production ideas to manage breakdowns or mechanical stoppages
- Installation of machinery and plant equipment
- Maintain relevant stock levels
- Dismantle, replace, and assemble engineering components

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you will be trade qualified as a fitter or machinist and have demonstrated experience working in a similar maintenance fitter position.

In addition to the above, to be successful in this role you will have/be:

- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with people of all levels
- Ability to work as part of a small team and contribute to business objectives
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights
- Forklift Licence
- Elevated Work Platform license (highly desirable)
- Competent computer skills
- Competent understanding of WH&S procedures
- Up to date COVID-19 vaccination status
