We are currently seeking an experienced dedicated, caring and motivated **Hospitality Worker (Food Services Assistant & Kitchenhand)** to provide support at our **Bethanie on the Park Retirement Village** located in **Menora**, on a **12 month fixed term contract** to cover maternity leave.

Proposed roster is
- **Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays from 10am to 2pm,** with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts to assist with functions.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Kitchenhand**
- Weekly cleaning of our commercial kitchen to a high standard, ensuring we meet all internal and external audit requirements
- Ensuring responsible work practices of food preparation, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Maintaining all utensils, equipment, work benches and general surrounds in a clean and safe condition
- Collecting and washing pots, pans, crockery and cutlery

**Front of House Waiting**
- Ensuring delivery, set up, service, washing and clean down are completed
- Waiting on tables
- Food deliveries to resident’s apartments
- Food and beverage service in a professional, efficient and courteous manner
- Perform set-up and break-down of functions and events
- Provide waiter services for any functions being conducted on the premises
- Ensuring facility areas are clean and safe

**Requirements**:

- Willingness to uphold the vision, mission and values of The Bethanie Group
- Experience in a service industry, with a focus on elderly residents in a retirement village environment
- Have a “can do” attitude and a genuine compassion for our residents
- Reliability and a strong work ethic
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to communicate both orally and written
- A current police clearance or willingness to get one
