Hospitality Worker

We currently have a vacancy at Bethanie Subiaco Aged Care Home for a **Hospitality Worker** to fill a variety of shifts on a **casual or permanent part time basis** in the roles of **Domestic Assistant / Cleaner, Laundry Assistant, Food Services Assistant / Wait Staff** and **Kitchen Hand.**

Bethanie Subiaco is a 112 bed facility that provides the full range of aged care services including dementia support, palliative care and respite services.

**Key Responsibilities**:
The successful applicant must be willing to work across the following departments listed below:
**Kitchen Hand**
- Ensuring required ingredients are available daily
- Assisting in the preparation and serving of meals
- Maintaining all utensils, equipment, work benches and general surrounds in a clean and safe condition
- Collecting and washing pots, pans, crockery and cutlery

**Food Service Assistant**
- Ensuring delivery, set up, service, washing and clean down are completed
- Ensuring residents' meal and hydration needs are met
- Assisting in preparation and portioning of meals for residents
- Ensuring facility areas are clean and safe

**Laundry Attendant**
- Ensuring all personal laundry and linen is laundered correctly and relevant infection control practices are adhered to
- Sorting and washing linen by wash temperature, colour, degree of soiling, infectious nature, fabric and fibre
- Loading and unloading washing machine and tumble dryers
- Reporting damage or wear and recommending repairs or replacement as required
- Placing clean linen into trolleys for delivery

**Domestic Assistant / Cleaner**
- Ensuring rooms, toilets, furniture, fittings, floors and communal areas are kept clean and tidy
- Ensuring all supplies are stocked within the facility
- Liaising with other employees to ensure the needs of residents are met
- Ensuring each resident's personal clothing is individually labelled and put away in their rooms

**Requirements**:

- Possess a passion for, and previous experience working as a Cleaner, Laundry Assistant, Kitchen Hand or Food Services Assistant ideally in an aged care, hospital or similar environment
- Have a “can do” attitude and a genuine compassion for our residents
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to communicate both orally and written
- A current police clearance or willingness to get one
- Willingness to obtain any relevant vaccinations required
