St. Mark’s Lutheran Early Learning Centre is a community not-for-profit service based in Mt. Gravatt that has operated for over 40 years. St. Mark’s has the vision to inspire a life-long love of learning, fostering self-worth and developing independence in the children in our care.

We are seeking talented and motivated Educators that will support the Service, Nominated Supervisor, and uphold the teaching of Christ by supporting a Christian Ethos by embracing Christian values of kindness and respect.

About the role:

- Able to ensure the day to day operations of the area allocated in the childcare service is in accordance with the centre policies, procedures, government regulations, a Christian Ethos, legislation and the National Quality Standards and St. Mark’s Philosophy and Code of Ethics;
- Being able to confidently plan and program all ages;
- Ensuring the work environment operates in accordance with St. Mark’s Spirit Vision, Philosophy and Code of Ethics;
- To actively create partnerships with families, staff and the community;
- To provide information, referral and support to parents of children attending St. Mark’s services

About You:
Applicants will be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, be a team player, be passionate about providing education and care to children, and be an advocate for continuous improvement in line with the Service Philosophy and Quality Improvement Plan.

Selection Criteria:

- Certificate 3, Diploma in Early Childhood Education, and working toward to qualification.
- Current paid Blue Card, First Aid & CPR;
- Confidence using technology (computers, ipads);
- Sound knowledge of NQF, EYLF & Regulations;
- Experience and knowledge around the Assessment and Rating process;
- A passion for developing, planning and implementing an innovative educational program with a commitment to inclusive early childhood practice and social justice.

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
