Tom's Family Butchery has been operating since 2006 and is looking for a qualified fulltime butcher to join our team based in Rouse Hill. We are a busy butcher shop with a great customer base and plenty of opportunity to grow. The successful applicant will be confident in their skills and motivated to perform as part of a team.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparation of products, including cutting, trimming, slicing and portion control
- Operation of machinery and equipment, including mincer, sausage filler, smoke oven, band saw, tenderiser, slicer, combi oven etc
- Advising customers of the different meat options and cuts of meat for various cooking methods
- Prepare value-added and marinated products
- Weighing and packaging various meat products
- Daily opening and closing procedures
Personal Qualities:
- Have excellent time management and organisational skills
- Be punctual, reliable and have a professional attitude to work as a team member
- Ability to learn, listen and follow instructions
- Maintain a high level of personal hygiene
- Excellent customer service skills, retail experience in serving and multi-tasking
- Able to work under pressure
- Genuine enthusiasm and interest in all things Butchery
Salary will be dependent on proven experience.
Shop trading hours Mon-Fri 7am-6pm, Sat 7am-2pm and Sun 8am-1pm
Pay: $75,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
