District Representative/account Manager

**About the role**:
Nalco Water, an Ecolab division, provides process and water treatment chemical and equipment solutions, with a customer base that includes major ANZ businesses across a variety of industry sectors.

We currently have an opportunity for a hands-on District Representative/Account Manager to join our **Nalco Water Mining** team specifically looking after our key customers in the Bowen Basin region in QLD. Reporting to the Regional Manager, and based out of Mackay, Rockhampton or Emerald, your technical and commercial activities will involve developing strong client relationships by driving value added & focused service delivery to our existing and potential new clients including water treatment and coal processing facilities.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Manage and develop the current client base within the region, leveraging our strong client relationships and driving service delivery.
- With the team, devising a business development strategy to maximise new account opportunities, for both process services and water treatment.
- Assisting with the troubleshooting of technical problems in a timely manner to ensure ongoing chemical treatment of process unit operations and water treatment facilities.

**By nature, you will demonstrate**:

- High commitment to Safety, Environment, Occupational Health and Quality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with both internal & external customers
- Good mechanical aptitude, delivering a hands-on approach to service execution and adding value

**Technically, you will ideally have**:

- Background or exposure to coal process and operations experience and/or have water treatment experience
- Excellent problem-solving and technical problem-solving ability.
- Strong business acumen and technical skills that will allow you to provide value to your customers

The ability to travel with regular overnight stays will be a prerequisite.
