**About us**
The Agency for Clinical Innovation (ACI) leads innovation in clinical care across NSW. We do this by bringing clinicians, patients and healthcare managers together to design and implement new ways to deliver healthcare.
**What you will be doing**
The Evidence Data Manager will work collaboratively with all ACI networks, the Ministry of Health, Local Health Districts, Hospitals and health professionals to facilitate and complete advanced statistical analyses and innovative data science projects.
The Evidence Data Manager will:
- Lead the data analytics team in the Innovation, Modelling, and Data Science Stream, Evidence Directorate.
- Access and assess the validity and utility of health data sources.
- Design new data projects and analyses in collaboration with ACI networks, the Ministry of Health, and health professionals.
- Conduct advanced statistical analyses on a range of health data including clinical data and patient reported data.
- Develop new techniques in analysis and reporting of health data to provide timely, valid and actionable information to clinicians and health system managers.
- Lead on data governance and quality assurance practices.
- Work collaboratively with experts in design, communications, clinical practice and change management to produce a suite of data products including analytical reports and data dashboards.

**Selection Criteria / Questions**
- Post graduate qualifications in statistics, data science, or equivalent, and extensive experience working with health data including clinical data and patient reported data.
- Completion of health projects requiring advanced analytical methods such as statistical modelling or machine learning and provision of information in a format that can be used to support decision making and improvements in health care.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing the capability of a data analytics team including providing guidance and advice to staff and fostering a performance-based and customer-focused culture.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience developing effective professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders including influencing and negotiating with stakeholders to access data, support new approaches to data analysis and reporting, or implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- High level verbal and written communication skills, including demonstrated experience writing data reports and scientific papers.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex projects requiring a team with a diverse range of skills and stakeholders with challenging expectations.
This position is a temporary position and** requires full working rights in Australia** (e.g. Australian citizenship/ permanent resident). **COVID-19 Vaccination Compliancy**
All NSW Health workers are required to have completed a primary course of a COVID-19 vaccine which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). Additionally, Category A workers are required to receive a booster dose three months after completing the primary course of COVID-19 vaccinations. New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate (IM011 immunisation medical exemption form) certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.
