**Description**:
**The Role**:
NGH has recently established a Communications and Social Sustainability team to support the delivery of game changing infrastructure. Much of our work is in renewable energy infrastructure in regional areas and we aim to ensure that our projects support a more sustainable Australia and more resilient regions. Ultimately, we want to lead the industry in collaborative engagement and robust social impact assessment and management.

Due to rapid growth in our projects, we are seeking a Consultant specialising in Social Impact Analysis and broader Social Sustainability. This role will support our clients in meeting the growing government and industry expectations for communications, engagement and social impact analysis for large scale infrastructure and regional development projects.

**Key deliverables for the Senior Consultant - Social Impact**:

- Supporting development and delivery of Social Impact Assessments for each project.
- Supporting development of Social Impact Management Plans to support delivery and operation of large-scale infrastructure.
- Completing targeted research to inform social analysis, such as data review, surveys, interviews, focus groups and benchmarking to inform decision making around social outcomes.
- Providing advice to team members on Social Impact analysis requirements and risks.
- Working with community groups to draft local funds to share ongoing benefits of large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Drafting reports summarising social impact assessment and management outcomes.
- Providing targeted analysis and inputs into long term regional plans.
- Supporting workshops, completing interviews, and analysing complex data as part of targeted social research.
- Contributing to thought leadership in social impact and risk consideration in long term planning.

**Skills and Experiences**:
**About you**:
We are looking for talented and ethical go-getters with experience supporting infrastructure planning and the renewable energy, transport, water, and regional development sectors.
- Tertiary Qualifications in the relevant fields, such as social science, anthropology or social planning.
- Experience working in rural areas and engaging regional communities.
- Renewable energy sector experience or a strong interest in this area.
- Understanding of state and territory guidelines for engagement and social impact assessment.
- Initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Problem-solving aptitude.
