**THE COMPANY**

Lotus People are delighted to partner with this leading organisation to find a Public Affairs Adviser for their team Located at beautiful offices based in the heart of the CBD, this purposeful membership organisation provides advocacy and reform within its sector. You will be joining a collaborative, social team who are passionate about the work that they do. This organisation have a flexible approach and you will have the flexibility to work two days a week from home.

**THE ROLE**

As a Public Affairs Adviser, you will have the exciting opportunity to contribute to media, communications, and government relations strategies within the sector. In this role, you will be responsible for developing proactive media and engagement strategies, managing media inquiries, maintaining relationships with journalists, and coordinating public affairs campaigns. Working closely with the Director of External Affairs, you will play a key part in shaping public opinion and influencing policy advocacy in the infrastructure space. This position offers a unique chance to make a meaningful impact on national agenda.

**DUTIES**
- Develop and implement proactive media and engagement strategies
- Manage relationships with journalists and handle media inquiries
- Research, write, and distribute impactful media releases
- Monitor and track relevant media coverage in the infrastructure sector
- Build and maintain relationships with political stakeholders and government representatives

**SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**
- Experience in media, communications, or government relations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to develop and execute media strategies
- Knowledge or interest in the infrastructure sector is desirable
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management abilities
