**About the role**:
Ventia is a leading infrastructure services company, operating across Australia and New Zealand. This position is part of our Western Roads Upgrade Project, providing asset management and maintenance services.

As a Finance Officer you will play a key role in our finance team by providing Payroll and Timesheet Administration, working out of our Laverton office. You will also be responsible for liaising with our client, vendors and subcontractors as the first point of contact for Purchase Orders and Invoicing enquiries.

**Duties**
- Manage Purchase Orders utilising Ariba
- Liaise with external clients; setting up accounts, assisting with queries and resolving invoices
- Process fortnightly payroll
- Provide support for full time employees by managing new start paperwork, payroll enquiries and updating employee payroll information
- Prepare payroll reporting for month-end reconciliation
- Other Ad-hoc tasks as directed

**What we are looking for**:

- Tertiary qualification in a financial related field OR relevant experience in finance/payroll
- Experience working in a similar project role would be advantageous
- Advanced Microsoft Skills, particularly MS Excel
- The drive to learn and develop your skillset
- Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to work in a team
