**About the role**
In this role, you will work closely with all departments across the City to create and review tangible actions that can be applied systemically both internally to the organisation, and externally for customers, to promote and enhance social equity, diversity and inclusion, making inclusivity an integral part of everything we do at the City.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating the development, implementation, and monitoring of Inclusion and Diversity roadmap, strategies and frameworks in collaboration with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborating with other members of the Inclusion and Diversity team, in developing, implementing, and monitoring the Council’s Social Equity action plans so they can be applied systemically, including actions, evaluation framework and developing the implementation strategy to improve diversity and inclusion in the workplace and the broader community.
- Conducting research and analysing internal and external data to identify areas of opportunity for equity and inclusion, and use to inform strategies, frameworks and plans.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure that social equity and inclusion frameworks are integrated into the organisation’s strategies, operations and structures.
- Supporting the team in capability development initiatives, events, training and education so that social equity, diversity, and inclusion are considered and the development of practicesand procedures that promote social equity.
- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of social equity and diversity and inclusion frameworks, plans and initiatives and provide regular progress reports to leaders.
- Evaluating the effectiveness of organisation strategies and plans related to social equity and inclusion & diversity, using data to assess outcomes, identify and report on the progress, successes and challenges, and recommend ongoing improvements.
**About you**
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in a social equity, diversity and inclusion, human resources or related role.
Essential Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in the Human Resources, Diversity and Inclusion, Social Work, Public Policy, Organisational Psychology or a related field with an equivalent mix of qualifications and work experience.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of systemic thinking, equity frameworks, and social justice principles.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to produce correspondence, reports, plans and presentations to communicate key messages.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and information to inform decision-making.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others, with a commitment to building positive relationships and promoting teamwork.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Well-developed organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks, manage time and work effectively to achieve outcomes within set timeframes.
