**About the role**

Our new Test Analyst will create and execute functional and non-functional test cases, as well as track software defects throughout the testing lifecycle. You will test the Workforce Management System and its integrations to ensure it meets business requirements and quality standards.

Additionally, you will forge strong links between IT and business stakeholders, as well as maintain and enhance V/Line business systems in line with IT strategy.

**Key accountabilities include**:

- Software Testing_
- Develop and manage test plans for upgrades, patches, releases, or debugs.
- Create and execute functional and non-functional test cases.
- Raise and track software defects in Azure DevOps.
- Identify, document, and report software defects.
- Test and maintain in-house systems and data integration for efficiency.
- Provide technical business analysis and data modelling.
- Lead troubleshooting and solution definition.
- Liaise between customers and the technical team to meet requirements.
- Present software testing concepts to all organisational levels.
- Advise on future upgrades.
- System Setup and Maintenance_
- Develop and maintain the V/Line test environment and tool set.
- Update test scripts with business process details.
- Document system configuration and operation.
- Develop processes for data changes, migration, and testing.
- Ensure interfaces with other systems are recorded and updated.
- Maintain and improve a repository of test scenarios and scripts.

**About you**
- Must have ISTQB, CSTE, Advanced Test Analyst or Agile Testing Certification
- Must have advanced proficiency in testing methodologies
- Proven experience planning and executing functional/non-functional system test cases, including integration, regression and user acceptance testing
- Established experience developing relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, through effective communication skills
- Proficiency in software testing tools (e.g., Azure DevOps)
- Knowledge of API testing using tools such as Postman or SOAPUI
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., C#, Java, Python)
