As an Associate in Legal Services, you will review bank securities and prepare default notices and farm debt mediation invitations, so that NAB can enforce security when Strategic Business Services (SBS) determine that’s the most appropriate strategy (Recoveries work).

**Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to**:

- Adhere to established processes when issuing notices and invitations
- Utilise correct templates and guidance notes
- Review various security-related documents and conduct searches
- Maintain files on matters for future reference and for the benefit of other stakeholders
- Develop an understanding of relevant banking functions to which legal services are provided
- Balance the needs of competing stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, and internal and external stakeholders
- Exhibit the ability to problem-solve independently with sound judgment, including seeking additional advice and/or documents from other stakeholders
- Provide simple, clear and accurate advice, and documents to various stakeholders in a timely manner
- Actively manage a portfolio of matters and proactively providing updates to various stakeholders
- Embrace continuous improvement through proactive involvement
- Maintain a continuous growth mindset
- Being adaptable and agile in response to changing priorities
- Actively manage recoveries work volumes
- Identify when assistance is required to ensure a response to SBS is provided in a timely manner

**We’re looking for the best and brightest to deliver the best for our customers. You’ll need**:

- To demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong and keen attention to detail when reviewing documents
- Effective time management skills with the ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Proficient administrative and organisational skills for managing various matters, correspondence and legal documents
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, especially when working across departments
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work, allowing for responsiveness to changing priorities
- General IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office, and the ability to adapt to different systems and software
- A broad range of interpersonal and relationships management skills to support and enable positive outcomes for NAB customers
- Recoveries background and experience
- Familiarity with Legal Services paralegal functions and relevant NAB systems (e.g. Siebel, ServiceNow and iManage)
- Experience and an understanding of NAB’s risk appetite
- Customer focus and strategic mindset
- Bachelor level degree preferred but not essential
