**About the role**
Are you a Melbourne-based writer who loves food and drink, the arts, entertainment, travel and the good life? We need you to join team Time Out as our Branded Content Writer. We’re looking for diverse talents who can help tell our readers about the best of the city in partnership with our many clients.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Write branded/sponsored content of varying kinds including listings, features and interview-based stories under broad supervision.
- Build and publish content online based on client briefs.
- Manage and write copy for twice weekly Melbourne editorial newsletters (eDMs).
- Write/manage other eDMs as directed.
- Liaise with account coordinators to make client amendments.
- Attend commercial brainstorming meetings and other commercial meetings as required to contribute creative ideas.
- Work with the commercial team to pitch and propose creative branded campaigns.
- Schedule organic and branded social posts to amplify branded content.
- Collaborate with videographer to create short-form branded video content.
- Collaborate with creative team to create bespoke interactive content including Ceros hubs, interactive quizzes and other formats.
- Contribute occasional editorial content across the website and social media.
- Occasional attendance at Time Out events and client-run events for the purposes of business development is a part of this role.
- Occasionally commission freelance writers to help support with branded content campaigns under the supervision of the Melbourne Editor.
**Skills & Experience**
- At least two years’ experience in a full-time editorial or content writing role.
- A knack for creative writing, snappy headlines and social media.
- The ability to produce sparkling and error-free copy.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise accordingly.
- The ability to work quickly to tight deadlines under pressure.
- Flexibility, urgency, drive and a professional approach at all times.
- An affinity for Time Out’s core values of empathy, curiosity, accountability, resilience and optimism.
- A love of the arts, entertainment, food, drink and travel.
- A portfolio of published work.
