The workforce planning function exists to provide specialist workforce planning systems and processes for the operational units of our catering businesses around Australia. This function is responsible for aligning the workforce of over 4,000 staff to meet operational business needs.

**More about this role**:
The Labour Planning Analyst plays an integral role in delivering and maintaining workforce management practices across all our work sites. This includes managing a small team of Resource Allocators, to support operational leaders in effectively managing workload and staffing requirements and forecasting processes using best practice methodologies.

**In a nutshell, your main responsibilities are**:

- Produce timely and accurate variable forecasts, with specific focus on maximising operational efficiencies
- Develop and progressively optimising staff requirements based on airline (customer) and production schedules
- Develop short, medium and long term wage forecasts
- Analyse data and reports to create strategies on work volume and projected resource requirements
- Liaison with labour hire agencies supporting the ordering and hours invoiced
- Maintain rosters and ensure they are filled effectively according to the respective enterprise agreement
- Build, develop and implement forecasts and capacity management plans - including reporting, analysis and recommendations for business process re-engineering
- Provide advice and support to stakeholders regarding workforce planning opportunities and implement this approach consistently across the business
- Developing strategies for retention, training, coaching and knowledge management
- Role model dnata catering values: safety and security, performance driven, delighting customers, imagination, respect and service excellence.
- Contribute to a safety-first environment and work within Workplace Health and Safety policies, procedures and guidelines at all times.
- Have complete understanding of and adhere to dnata catering policies and procedures.
- Carry out additional duties as may be reasonably requested by site Business Manager or Executive group.

**What do you need to be successful in securing this role?**
- 5+ years experience in a similar role within a large organisation
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Highly analytical approach to problem solving and implementing solutions
- Strong Project Management focus with experience developing high-level strategic plans
- Effective negotiation and influencing skills, with ability to handle challenging situations with tact and diplomacy
- Proven experience in managing a small team
- Ability to think logically, creatively and business-focussed approach
- Exceptional communication and organisation skills
- Ability to work with a diverse group of stakeholders in a high volume, high value environment.
