**The Opportunity**

In this role, the **Patient Administration Officer will provide quality customer service in the coordination of administrative functions across the hospital from Front Reception through to the wards.**

The role will involve but is not limited to providing support and assistance to the administrative and clinical teams as well as patients and relatives, by coordinating the clerical requirements for patients from admission to discharge.

**Shifts will range from 3 up to 5 days per week, dependent on staffing needs at the time.**

The successful applicant will be a positive, responsible, self-motivated person with excellent people and telephone skills. It is essential that you have a strong commitment to customer service and a ‘can do’ approach, and above all an unwavering commitment to client confidentiality.

**In addition, you will also demonstrate**:

- Experience in a similar role preferred but not essential
- Experience with Meditech (Desirable)
- Understanding of Health Funds and patient eligibility (desirable)
- High attention to detail
- High level of competency in computer and Microsoft Office skills.

**Remuneration**

On offer is base hourly rate ranging from **$30.57 - $ 31.89 + superannuation** based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

**Requirements**:

- _Must provide a _**National Police** check conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a **Working-With-Children** check and **proof of immunisation** against infectious diseases.
