Scion Group is expanding and looking for a junior Civil Technician to join our team. This is a Fulltime position with 38-hour basic weeks.

**The Role**

As a junior Civil Technician, you will assist Project Managers with project documentation, site supervision, and quality control to ensure timely and successful project delivery.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Provide support to project managers to determine details of a project and requirements for each project
- Read and review project drawings and plans to ensure the sizes of structures and specific designs are accurate and compliant with regulations and contract provisions
- Determine the amount and type of materials needed for each project
- Take and test materials and soil samples
- Observe project sites to ensure that construction conforms to design specifications and applicable codes and adherence to the guidelines.
- Prepare reports and document project activities and data
- Support the coordination of subcontractors, suppliers, and trades
- Maintain project logs, field notes, sketches, test results, and reports for engineering records and compliance documentation.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Diploma, or Associate Degree in Construction Design or a closely related field
- Minimum 1-year post-qualification experience in a construction environment
- A proactive, motivated, and organized work ethic
- Strong communication skills and a personable, collaborative approach
- Knowledge of local council, New South Wales, and national construction standards (preferred).

**Desirable Skills**:

- Proficiency with Procore construction management system
- Safety procedures knowledge
- Positive, can do attitude and enjoy working in inclusive team
- Valid Driving License and ability to travel to project sites within NSW as required
- Full Australian work rights or work authorization.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
