The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Remedial Engineer to join our Sydney team. This role is suited to a candidate with a minimum of 2-3 years of local Australian experience who is well-versed in delivering projects across various sectors, including residential, commercial, and industrial. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, a proactive approach to project and report delivery, and the ability to manage complex design challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage Remedial projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors from concept through to construction.
- Perform remedial analysis and design of various building components, including concrete, steel, timber, and masonry.
- Prepare and review design documentation, calculations, and engineering reports.
- Liaise with clients, architects, builders, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Conduct site inspections, attend project meetings, and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and drafters.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Australian Standards, Codes, and local regulations.
- Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to provide innovative and practical solutions.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 2-3 years of local Australian experience in structural engineering design.
- Proven experience in residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SpaceGass, ETABS, RAPT).
- Strong understanding of Australian Standards and Building Codes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
- Chartered status or eligibility for CPEng accreditation (preferred but not essential).
