My Federal Government Client is currently seeking an EL1 Assistant Director - Practice Leadership, for their Geelong CBD based office for a temporary 12 month, full-time assignment.
**Your new role**
The EL1 Assistant Director - Practice Leadership will coordinate a new function which focuses on building capability and changes to practice which are underpinned by the evidence-base and best practice approaches to customer service. This may include performing varied activities involving many different and unrelated processes or methods that may impact on the strategic or operational outcomes that support the Agency's objectives. Responsibilities include:
- Use expertise in knowledge translation, implementation science, and behavioural insights (individual and organisational behaviour change) to support Agency projects related to workforce development and education in practice.
- Design and lead the development of a practice leadership approach that can be used by the Agency to create a more consistent, evidence-informed workforce. This will include tools, resources and networks which can be used to support front line capability uplift.
- Support the implementation of evidence-based approaches into policy and practice.
- Build and maintain relationships across the Agency.
- Maintain project records using research software or platforms.
- Prepare and present internal reports including slide-pack summaries for stakeholders and communicating recommendations to stakeholders based upon the findings.
- Take on management responsibilities as and when required
- Promote the role of the Research and Evaluation Branch
**What you'll need to succeed**
To succeed as the EL1 Assistant Director - Practice Leadership, you will need:
- A Bachelor-level qualification in public health, disability, psychology, allied health or other related discipline
- Expertise in behavioural insights and workforce development
- Demonstrate a good understanding of evidence-based decision-making and knowledge translation strategies
- Exceptional communication, both written and verbal
- Experience conducting systematic reviews is desirable
- Australian Citizenship
