**About the role**:
This is an exceptional opportunity to be part of **Finance & Business Intelligence team** at Joondalup Health Campus, providing comprehensive data analysis and insights, and supporting the team with data governance and migration.
**As a Data Analyst your role will entail, but is not limited to**:
- Producing data extracts and carrying out data interrogation and analysis.
- Preparing reports for executive and project teams, informing stakeholders about patterns, trends, and insights.
- Writing supporting documentation and processes to meet Business Intelligence and Data Governance requirements.
- Contributing to the development, implementation, and maintenance of data assets both locally and cloud.
- Provides support across various functions, including annual budgeting and data modelling.
- Takes ownership of assigned tasks and responsibilities.
**What we are looking for**
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst or Reporting Analyst, involving the collection, structuring, analysis, and presentation of data.
- Possess tertiary qualifications in finance/accounting/data science/statistics.
- Understanding and experience of databases and associated ETL framework with platforms such as SQL Server.
- Understanding and experience of reporting and data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau. Practical experience of DAX would be beneficial.
- Excel data modelling experience with a proven ability to identify trends, patterns, and insights from data.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively describe problems and findings, and present insights to various audiences (technical and non-technical) using visualisation tools.
- Problem-solving skills, demonstrating conceptual and analytical ability within a large organisation with complex data structures.
**Your primary responsibilities include**
- **Reporting tasks**: Responsibility for the daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reporting of activity and statistics.
- **Analysis and Modelling**: Conduct analysis and modelling for stakeholders as requested.
- **Technology transition**: Assist with the transition of data and reporting between different operational platforms as technological needs arise.
- **Documentation**: Documenting Business Intelligence procedures and processes, logging tasks, and documenting material relating to Data Governance such as data catalog, data dictionaries, process mapping and BI Wiki maintenance.
- **Report Development and Maintenance**: Develop and maintain SQL based query reports and Reporting Dashboards as required.
- **Data Extraction and Processing**: Extract, process, and clean data from multiple sources to create actional insights.
- **Cross-Departmental Collaboration**: Collaborate with various departments to understand and analyse data needs, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Implement ongoing process and reporting improvements as necessary.
- **Month-end support**: Assist the finance team at as required to prepare the financial result.
- **Ad Hoc Tasks**: Ad hoc data modelling or tasks as required.
**Remuneration**: On offer is base annual salary ranging from $114,103 - $121,521 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances
